Latest reviews of Ansel and Clair: Cretaceous Dinosaurs - A Fingerprint Network App app for iPhone and iPad

Cognitive Kid scores again…..
My son and I have been waiting patiently for the next app from this company. We love Ansel and Claire in Africa which was the first app by them. I have used it with great leverage to have him finish his dinner or clean up his room as he then gets to play with the app. which he calls “Africa”. It is such a great educational tool that I don’t mind the screen time he is getting. This second app ….and not surprising….. is again an outstanding educational app. The extent and quality of research done to create this app is clearly evident in the level of detail and interesting facts provided. The developers state that they reviewed various sources and when they found conflicting data they went with what was published in the journal “ Science” which is clearly considered to be the gold standard in the scientific community. I am just amazed and immensely grateful that they truly care so much about the quality of education our children receive. The app itself with its eye catching graphics , fun puzzles and activities to keep the user engaged is going to be another treat for us as we look forward to spending hours learning while playing. Highly recommend both apps…..Please keep the apps coming!
I want my iPad back!
My kids loved playing the first A&C, so I thought they would be interested in this one. Sure enough, they cant put it down! I used to be a dino-nut as a kid and enjoyed re-learning about these creatures as much as they did! Its fun interacting with dinosaurs to see what they do. There are also some fun mini-games in there - in particular the kids love the dinosaur dig game where you uncover dinosaur fossils underground. A fun and refreshing way to learn. The art work is gorgeous. Each scene is beautifully illustrated with dinosaurs poking their heads out here and there. I read from another review that this is a part of a dinosaur Trilogy? That sounds promising - cant wait! This app is a great value for money and I definitely recommend it!
Great dinosaur app
Ansel and Clairs dinosuar exploration is amazing- both educating and entertaining. Although the app is for 4+, my 3 yr old loves it, and has learnt so much. The song "Come with us" has stuck in his mind, and he keeps singing it, even when hes away from the app. I could hear less of it :) He has a lot of fun in the fossil dig site section, and goes straight to it, everytime. He follows Clairs clear instructions and is ready to tap, brush, dig and get the fossil out. Actually, Clair has the characteristics of a lovely teacher, who every kid would listen to. Ansel, is also fun- his comment about T-rexs tiny arms, is such a powerful observation and teaching method. My son can differentiate cretaceous dinosaurs beyond his favorite t-rex(and every childs perhaps), quite easily. He is still learning to speak properly, so when I heard him talk about Oviraptor, I was surprised. I picked up a technique or two by following his process- he first looks at the jaws, and then fine-tuned his decision, by checking the arms and neck. Now, thats how you teach by using context. Not to menton, that he finds "tiny arms" amusing. Today he turned a few heads around at a toy store, by pointing to a donosaur skeleton prop, and jump in excitement- look Mommy "fossil". My 3 yr old knows more about dinosaurs than I ever did, and I am proud. Surely, Dr. Bones did a great job.
Very well done :)
My kids love this app. There is a lot of info about dinosaurs and the pictures are awesome. There is soo much info and my kids love the minigames in the app. This is a wonderful science app that teaches your children about dinos, rocks, and all about the dino period of time. This app provides a lot of info in a fun way for children that they can understand easily thinking through Ansel and Clair. Come go on a trip to the dinosaur time with Ansel and Clair to learn all about the dinosaur period of time in this fun and educational way :)
10 STAR app!
WOW, another Top Notch app from Cognitive Kid! This developer and app deserve the award of excellence, it delivers BIG time! My boys absolutely LOVE this Cretaceous Period dinosaur app and so do Mom and Dad! My little guys have gained a wealth of knowledge through Ansel & Clair. My 3 yr old has dinosaur names and facts rolling off his tongue. The dinosaur dig was awesome. The boys loved digging for fossils using their fingers as a hammer and chisel to tap the rocks away, then as a brush to clear the debits surrounding the rocks. Putting the fossils together was a real bonus! They also loved learning and seeing the dinosaurs in their natural setting. They have seen plenty of dinosaurs but never in this type of awesome setting. This is our second app with Ansel and Clair. We learned all about Africa in our last adventure. As with our last app, we enjoy taking photos and filling our travel log. We love this activity. There is so much information packed into this app, a learning experience for all ages. The illustrations and animations are breathtaking! I would HIGHLY recommend this app for its abundant amount of educational information! This app and the price are simply AMAZING!
